Gardens

Gardens need to look great for a wedding at home (or any party, for that matter). My daughter always hoped to get married at our home in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. I wanted the house to look fantastic for a mid-July wedding. I walked the lakefront the previous summer and studied how certain flowers looked in mid-July and found so many of them had already started to look ragged. But I found some that were in great shape and planted appropriately for the summer of the wedding. You can’t assume that what you plant will look great all summer long. Go and find examples. It’s a simple trick, but so worthwhile.
