Activities that Add to the Fun Pt. 1

What makes your event more special than others? I think it is the creativity that you plan into your party. I try to plan a couple of surprises for my guests. What can they be?

• Bring in a magician or an illusionist to a dinner party.
• Have a treasure hunt. Hunt for items such as wrapped gifts, penny candy, casino chips, favorite books, or golf balls.
• Do a cake walk.
• Have professionals teach flower demos or how to make wild and wacky cocktails.
• Have three different “chefs” cooking at three different stations (consider using student chefs or friends who are great cooks).
• Invite a singer to arrive at dessert time and your dinner becomes a sing-along.
• Serve different desserts among the guests. Tons of switching and sharing goes on.
• Serve old-fashioned milk shakes in special glasses or ice cream sundaes in sundae glasses—even at a formal wedding.
• Serve everyone’s favorite dessert at a party for very close friends.
• Bring out the makings for s’mores at a lake party.
• Bring in an ice cream truck.
