About Those Wedding Gifts
May 28, 2019
Weddings these days…
No new news here, but the world has changed. Some young couples live together for years before they tie the knot and have already accumulated most of the home necessities. And many are passing on fine china, crystal, and sterling. We’ve enjoyed giving other types of gifts, especially those that include an “experience,” which I know most young people love. Almost anything works!
Here are some fun gifts we have given to celebrate the bride and groom:
A tree to plant in their yard
Camping equipment
An outdoor grill
Chef for a home dinner party
A Gasoline gift card
One-year anniversary dinner set up and paid for at a favorite restaurant in advance
Skis or snowshoes
A special dinner while on their honeymoon
Preloaded Visa cards
Mountain bikes
Cases of wine
Airline gift cards to help bring family in for the wedding or cover travel to a honeymoon destination
Cooking lessons for two
A basket of garden tools and several hundred tulip bulbs (for those who love gardening)
A weekend getaway to a romantic destination
Matching luggage
Whole Foods gift card
Really, take whatever is a favorite of the bride and groom, and package it in a fun basket, box or bag with similar themed gift cards for a gift sure to be loved and used!
