Hiring for Diversity of Thought

If you hire a person who thinks the same way you do, you might just want to ask yourself which of you is not needed. The concept of building a great team stems from diversity of thought where respect is always present, but smart people push back at each other about the topic at hand to come to a better solution for all. It has been proven that companies with greater diversity perform better. Encouraging debate most often leads to bigger thinking, and the end result is far better than one you might have come to on your own.
